How to submit sitemap to Google | Rank your Website to Google Search Console


Just as it’s difficult to find a new destination without a map, it’s sometimes hard for Google to find all the pages on your website without a sitemap. Luckily, it’s quick and easy to create and submit an XML sitemap to Google.

What is a sitemap?


  • A sitemap is an XML file listing all the important content on your website. Any page or file that you want to show up in search engines should be in your sitemap.
  • A sitemap is the address of your website which you submit to search engines, so, the search engines know your website. 

Importance of Sitemap

If search engines like Google.combing.comyahoo.com, don't knows your website address then how can they rank your site, then how can they put your website in search results...…? it is just like finding a new destination without a map. That is why sitemap is very important for a website to appear in search results.

How to Submit Sitemap

To submit your website sitemap you should have a google account.

Procedure  

1. Open Google Search Console
2. Click on Add a Property.
3. Submit your website address.
4. Click on your website.
5. Click on the Crawl option from the left menu.
6. Click on Crawl >> Sitemaps.
7. Click on Add/test Sitemap.
8. Write Sitemap.xml on the bar.
9. Click on Submit.
10. End
